Enacting short skits on the various situations they discussed brought some laughter into the serious discussions. \nAbout Jasveen Ahluwalia:\nJasveen Ahluwalia is an humanitarian aid worker and international development professional with over 17 years of work experience across 20 countries. She has worked in Africa\, the middle east and india. She has done extensive work in Afghanistan. She has extensive experience in working with refugees and women and children in emergency situations. \nJasveen Ahluwalia has an extensive expertise in linking gender issues with health issues\, with an emphasis on sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in regards to advocacy\, women’s empowerment and capacity building. Her main focus is on mainstreaming of gender/SGBV in emergencies and the roll-out of the gender in emergencies strategy across the core sectors. \nHer educational background includes a BA in History from St. Stephen’s College\, Delhi\, India and a MSW in Family and Child welfare from Tata Institute of Social Sciences\, Mumbai\, India.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2925″ img_size=”large” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
